This bistro is one place of a kind. The range of foods is really subject to your own imagination, because the chef will personality create lots of innovative dishes to please and make your visit a really memorable one. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. I found this place by chance and could not believe what I saw. The seascape is really unique and rich of contrasts, the abandoned shipyard, the out-of-service harbor, the picturesque pier with a lighthouse, the tallest bridge of the Madeiran highway network... All the elements seems to me like an noise argument between mankind and nature, but nature was victorious. The beach is located in a secluded bay and there are lots of accesses to enjoy your day swimming, or evening hunting stars in the sky. ~ Sherab L

Mitten im Industriehafen gelegen. ein absoluter Geheimtipp (wobei Geheimtipp im Internet widerspricht sich eigentlich🤣) Reservierung ist unbedingt erforderlich, da es nur 2 Gerichte gibt. Moqueca Baiana (brasilianischer Fischeintopf) und Feijoada (das brasilianische Nationalgericht). skurrile Einrichtung, super nettes Personal. wir kommen sicher wieder. ~ Ulla B

Adoramos imenso este local pertinho da praia! Bom ambiente e ao som de músicas muito conhecidas! Também acho que deveriam pôr outras músicas que se ouvem bem para o local que é é muito bom! Funcionários muito atenciosos e sempre com um sorriso na cara continuem sempre assim! De vez em quando já temos ido a este local muito acolhedor ! Boa Sorte para o vosso negócio!! Fijn personeel, lekker weg letterlijk van de snelweg, geen gezeur van toeristen die alles als thuis willen, heerlijke hapjes bij de borrel en prachtig zicht op de ilhas desertas. Kan nog niks zeggen over diner, dat moeten we nog plannen. De omgeving lijkt niet uitnodigend, een oude haven met roestige bodem maar oh wat een pareltje aan de oceaan. Wel alleen woe tm zondag open vanaf 16 uur. ~ Erica I

Ist den Besuch wert. Das Menü bekommt man gesagt, keine Karte oder so, also die Preise sieht man dann erst auf dem Beleg. Sie sind dann nicht zu hoch, aber am Ende muss jeder dann für sich entscheiden, ob das Essen das wert ist. Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Leider gab es heute keinen Nachtisch, dafür einen sehr leckeren Kaffee. Gerne vorbei fahren und die Atmosphäre selbst erleben. ~ Lesia A

We took a drive down through a construction site and somehow stumbled upon the greatest restaurant in Madeira, this food changed my life. The feijoada was absolutely to die for I literally had an out of body experience devouring that mix of deliciousness. The vibe was very unique with the sea right there and a really cool rusty atmosphere, nothing glamorous but very hip. Gustavo was an absolute legend and was happy to have a conversation with us and make us feel really welcome. The price was just right for the quality of the food which I believe was cooked by his mum in the kitchen and it had a real authentic home cooked feel to it which was amazing. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who visits Madeira and are looking for some real and authentic Brazilian food. I will never be satisfied again. ~ Jamie B

A truly special place that makes me feel like I’m in an episode of “Coisas Mais Lindas.” Every evening on weekends after 9 PM, the atmosphere comes alive with a live bossa nova concert of exceptional quality – an authentic and vibrant musical experience. The food is absolutely delicious and authentically Brazilian; we keep coming back for the feijoada and the caipirinha, which seems to carry the ocean breeze from just a few meters away. Everything unfolds on a charming terrace under the shade of a massive rubber tree, adding a unique charm to the colorful and lively ambiance. Highly recommended! ~ Ana M

Een gezellige beach/lounge plek op een bijzondere locatie (als je denkt dat je verkeerd rijd, rij je waarschijnlijk goed). De inrichting is heel kleurrijk, sfeervol en bijzonder. Zo is er een overdekt gedeelte dat om een boom heen is gebouwd. We waren hier met vrienden om te borrelen en werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Marisol en Carlos. We hebben heerlijke caipirinhas gedronken en we werden ook nog eens getrakteerd op live muziek door Carlos, wat onze avond onvergetelijk heeft gemaakt! Dank jullie wel, we hopen tot snel. ~ Andrea H

Auf den 2. Blick ein unheimlich bezaubernder Ort. Lasst euch von der Anfahrt und dem Ambiente außen (etwas verlebt unter der Autobahnbrücke) nicht täuschen. Abends, wenn der Besitzer die Gitarre in die Hand nimmt - brasilianisches Feeling auf Madeira! ~ Corinna H

Comida otima. serviço muito atencioso e querido. todos muito queridos e super prestaveis. Recomendo fazer reserva de pratos e mesa, já que a comida é super fresca e é feita na hora. Musica ao vivo e super relaxante. Retrata bastante o Brazil e o conceito é incrivel. A comida demorou, mas valeu tanto a pena. o ar é mais fresco e o ambiente é de relaxar e beber uma caipirinha ao fim do dia. What an amazing place! A little hard to find (it’s at that harbour area and Google tells you the wrong way, so just put “directions by walk” to find it), but truly magical, quiet and peaceful! The atmosphere is so nice, it feels like you’re in Thailand or Bali at a beach bar. Very laid back, reggae music, hammocks, lovely staff and lots of nature around. Have never seen a place like this in Madeira. 🥰 ~ Nina F

Authentische brasilianische Küche auf Madeira – ein echter Geheimtipp! Wir haben die Bar Sai de Saixo besucht und waren begeistert. Die Speisen schmeckten so, wie in Brasilien, sogar meine Begleitung, die schon in Brasilien war, bestätigte das. Die Bedienung war super freundlich, und wir kamen mit einigen netten Einheimischen ins Gespräch – ein richtig entspanntes Ambiente. Besonders schön: Live-Musik an diesem Abend, die den Besuch noch einmal aufgewertet hat. Wer authentisches brasilianisches Essen, nette Leute und gute Stimmung sucht, sollte hier unbedingt vorbeischauen! ~ Nick V

This place was awesome. The staff were very welcoming even though we went relatively late . it seemed like perfect timing. As we sat down to eat some delicious food live music started and we was treated to some great entertainment, including all the locals enjoying a dance. Don't be fooled by the run down exterior. It just adds to the charm. Staff spoke to English as well. Definitely recommend ~ Lewis M

An eclectic mix, with many decorations that catch your eye, the bar was packed when we got there on Saturday. Even though we did not have a reservation, they were very accommodating and arranged a table for us. They served a traditional Brazilian stew and desert, that were absolutely fantastic! Great Brazilian family-led restaurant. Menu is very small (1 vegetarian & 1 meat option) but the food is fantastic. As they say, you either specialize or you generalize. The Caipirinha which serves as a house drink is perfect. For the quality, the price is more than fair - definitely recommended! Atmosphere was also great. At first the place is hard to find but it is definitely worth it! ~ Viktor S
